This page was created by descendants of Earl B. and Mary Wells Curtis of Pulaski County Kentucky. Earl's ancestors originally appear in America in Connecticut. Descended from Thomas Curtis of Wethersfield Connecticut, they migrated to Chenango County New York. Around 1868 the family who were wood workers, migrated to Pulaski County Kentucky. They continued in the wood working business moving temporarily to Alabama and other counties of Kentucky in the lumber business. Around the turn of the 20th century, three brothers, Charlie, Fred and John(Jack) founded the FCJ Flour and the flourmill in Somerset Kentucky.
